People like to talk and numbers tend to scream.
What does this mean?
It's easy to say, someday I'll work on that goal.
It's much harder to say this is day 1 of 30.
Why?
Numbers simplify the complex and quantified process.
Numbers, turn intention into motion.
Numbers force you to own the process.
It's like you're flipping the switch from standby to full throttle.
It's about taking responsibility.
It's like having a positive obsession with your own progress.
So how to use numbers?
it ain't exactly rocket science it's much easier than that.
Pick your Someday
It's time to get specific because vague goals are like quicksand.
You need to be better than that.
For example:
If you want to write a book,
turn that into write 3 pages a day.
Break it down
60 days = 180 pages = 36 000 words.
You can only manage what you measure.
Start with day 1
Something needs to get the ball rolling.
It doesn't matter if you trip, fall, fail or whatever just start with day 1.
Count your wins
You need to make your progress visible.
Each number is another brick in the empire you are building.
Before going to bed, ask yourself:
How much % did I get better today?
Numbers don't lie it's time for you to realise the truth.
Are you slacking or are you improving?
You better get going.
What do you think?
